The pandemic brought a screeching halt to touring for Anna Moss and Joel Ludford, aka political folk-hop duo Handmade Moments. Stuck in her New Orleans studio, Moss coped by working on new songs. The resulting solo album Amnesty—introspective, poppy, and steeped in R&B—ponders themes of love, vulnerability, oppression and triumph. Written, arranged, and recorded in her home studio, it also includes great guest collaborations, including the Bay Area’s Rainbow Girls
