One of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters of his generation, Steve Earle learned his craft from legendary songwriters Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, and went on to become a master storyteller in his own right. His songs have been recorded by Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Joan Baez, Emmylou Harris, The Pretenders, and countless others, and he’s garnered three Grammy Awards for his own albums. In addition, he’s produced albums for other artists such as Joan Baez (Day After Tomorrow) and Lucinda Williams (Car Wheels on A Gravel Road). In 2023, Earle’s 1988 hit “Copperhead Road” was made an official state song of Tennessee. He is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
